I grew up with a loving family in Northwest Indiana. I was involved in youth group in high school and even taught middle school religious education my senior year of high school. I attended Franciscan University of Steubenville Ohio where my faith was fostered. I was blessed to be in a devoted catholic environment, where I met people from all around the world, yet all had the Eucharist in common.
I was involved in different ministries in college including, music ministry, homeless ministry, S.E.N.T. (putting on retreats for youth) and formed a household (like a sorority). I also was extremely blessed to go on two mission trips. One was to General Cepeda, Mexico and another to La Vega, Dominican Republic. The Dominican Republic mission trip was a medical mission trip where we opened a clinic and treated everything from colds, to sending people to the hospital with septicemia. We also had the opportunity to teach in an elementary school and play with orphans in an orphanage. I graduated from Franciscan University with a Bachelor’s in Nursing, and minors in Theology and Biology.
Since then I have been a nurse, personal caretaker, youth and young adult minister, retreat leader, singer/songwriter, musician, and janitor. The Lord blessed with with a miracle of healing my back (ask me about it) and I've been praying for others in faith ever since.
I feel so blessed to serve this parish in particular. The parishioners and staff are the most loving and genuine souls. I recently got married and felt so loved and honored as many attended the ceremony. We are one big family.
I strongly believe that everyone should have an opportunity to encounter Christ. My mission in serving this parish is to help everyone to have a deep encounter with Christ and feel His love and presence wherever they are.
